Another classic trail close to town meanders through the most beautiful aspen groves and wildflower meadows in the valley

This trail is closed seasonally (approximately mid august through late May)as soon as the Larkspur flower dies off. It crosses private property and the owners still run cattle on it. Please stay on the trail.

• From Crested Butte drive N on Gothic road through Mt. Crested Butte 4.3 miles to Gothic Road.
• The trail head is across from the stables.
• Crossing a fence ladder the route climbs a 4WD road to a gate at .7 miles.
• Turn left on the signed single track.
• Continue climbing to the intersection with Snodgrass Mountain trail, on the right at 1.2 miles.
• Continue left crossing a creek immediately, descend to a barbed wire fence/turnstyle at 1.6 miles.
• Descend though the aspen's and meadows to the next turnstyle at 3.2 miles.
• Follow the fence line to the trail head at 3.6 miles. Ride an additional 4.8 miles back to Crested Butte.
• This can be ridden in either direction.
