Located in a remote valley high in the Rocky Mountains, part of Crested Butte's charm is that it feels very far away from the big cities of the Colorado front range, and the Interstate-served resort areas of Summit County. A number of major airlines offer direct flights and Denver connections into Gunnison airport, and there's convenient shuttle service from the airport to Crested Butte.

United Airlines offers daily service from Denver International Airport to Gunnison/Crested Butte

American Airlines offers daily service from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport to Gunnison/Crested Butte in the winter. Seasonal service only.

Need a ride to Crested Butte? Checkout Alpine Express. I have used these guys several times and always have good service

There is also the Gunnison Valley RTA bus service. They have bus service between Gunnison and Crested Butte. Check out the schedule.

Getting around in Crested Butte

Once in Crested Butte, you can use the free shuttle service in Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. Shuttle schedules vary, usually running every 15 minutes during peak season and several times per hour during other times of the year. Check them out at Mountain Express shuttle service.
